As rain threatened the outdoor musical festivities at Willie Dixon's Blues Heaven foundation, the concert was moved indoors. This made for a packed house for "Little Al Thomas" show Thursday evening.
Looking, sounding, and moving like a man much younger than his eighty-two years, "Little Al" had the audience in the palm of his hand. After decades on the Chicago Blues Scene, Mr Thomas proves that he still has it and some to spare.
For those of you who want to check out any of the Blues Heaven, Record Row Concerts, there are only three shows left this year.
Here are the remaining shows:
August 16 Killer Ray Allison
August 23 Johnny Drummer
August 30 Charles "Chuck" Crane
All shows are on Thursday from 6:00pm-7:00pm Shows are free - Donations are welcome
Willie Dixon's Blues Heaven is located at 2120 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago.
